An exhibition entitled “Spring Art 2011”
The exhibition has been opened in the premises of the National Historical Museum in Tirana, in which 60 Albanian artists have exhibited their works. The exhibition will remain open until April 30. There are dozens of works of different genres of visual art, but there are also works with free themes exhibited for the first time to the public. The works presented are abstract, real works, calm natures, instillations, compositions, portraits, messages about globalization and nudity.
The annual “Spring Art” exhibition is like a revival of the banned “Spring” exhibition of ’71 -’72. This is the second time it is organized. It was first organized years, 38 years after its ban. The “Spring” exhibition opened for the first time in the ’70s. She was later punished by the totalitarian regime and imprisoned.
This year are more or less the same authors, who 39 years ago tried to liberalize art, opening their arms to the currents of time. But besides them there are also young painters and sculptors. Famous and young names participate in this exhibition, who stand out for their talent such as Bujar Zajmi, Hysen Devolli, Anastas Kostandini, Lekë Tasi, Vilson Kilica, Redi Greva, Julian Hyso etc.
